Hauz Khas Village Timing
The village is open from Monday to Saturday, 10:30 am to 7:30 pm. But the restaurants and pubs here remain open till 1:00 in the night. Police and PCR vans can be seen here to maintain security after 12:30 pm.
Tips for visiting
You should avoid visiting Hauz Khas Village on Friday or Saturday nights as parking slots are limited during these times. If you visit during these days, you may have to park your car at Aurobindo Place.

Hauz Khas Village History:
Talking about the history of Hauz Khas, let us tell you that Hauz Khas gets its name from a water reservoir which Alauddin Khilji built in the 13th century. The tank was built to supply water to the people living in Siri, another medieval city in India. The village is set around the Hauz Khas Complex, which was rebuilt in the 1960s.
After this, with time, many changes were made in this village when designer boutiques, galleries and restaurants started opening here. The word Hauz Khas means “Royal Lake” in English but now there is a complex at this place. This Complex was developed by DLF. In this, different blocks have been made from A to Z. Blocks E, F and G are the major market blocks here.
