The Laxmi Narayan Temple is wonderful and big. It has very nice architecture. Lots of people come here every day. The temple is very big and the outside wall is designed with pictures of the goddess Laxmi and the God Shiv Jee. This temple’s colour is Red Yellow and white. colour outside. The temple is dedicated to Hindu religion. And Jugal Kishore Birla had built it.

This temple is near Connaught Place New Delhi. Its construction period is from 1933 to 1939. It was also called the Birla temple because the Birla family had constructed this temple. There are some small temples also on the edge of it, such as Ganesh, Hanuman, Shiv and Buddha. Beside the temple, there is a shop, from where you can buy fool mala and other things for worship.

Shri Laxmi Narayan Temple is in an area of 7.5 acres (3 heaters).

Before, this was the first largest Temple in Delhi, but now the Akshardham is the largest temple in Delhi. The Images and waterfall are the beauty of Shri Laxmi Narayan temple.

  • Sris Chandra Chatterjee is the architect of this temple. The temple represents a picture of the Swarn era of the present universal cycle.

Chatterjee used modern ingredients to build the Laxami Narayan Temple.

This temple was affected by principles of the 20th century’s movements and treatises. The temple’s highest peak is 49 meters. Its construction material was exported from Jaipur.

And there is used sangmarmar to make it. Besides it, there is also used Kota stone of Jaisalmer and Agra. The temple’s face is to the east. It is in urban style and it has a total of three floors. This temple has a fountain, idols and a beautiful Garden. There is also a Geeta building for speech. It is the attraction of a thousand people. Especially on the day of Janmashtami and Diwali many people come here.

History Of Shri Laxmi Narayan Temple

This temple was completed in 1939. It is dedicated to the Hindu Religion.

The Laxmi Narayan Temple was built by Buldev Daas and his son Jugal Kishore Birla.

  • Jaat Maharaj Bhanu had laid the foundation stone of the temple. The Laxmi Narayan Temple was built under the guidance of Pundit Vishwanath Shastri. And Keshvanad ji did sacrifice in it. The temple was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi.

And the government decided that all religions and cast people could come here for worship.

What Attracts People to Visit Laxmi Narayan Temple

The first reason to visit here is faith. And second, is architecture. Temple contains a Beautiful Design. The only entrance is so beautiful that you can guess how will it look from the inside. There are also placed different types of plants

  • . Religious program is held here at festivals like Diwali, Ram Navami Janmashtami etc. There are also organized Bhajan, Kirtan Sangeet etc.

There’s garden and water fountain are the main attraction of people.  The second attraction is a dome on the peak of the temple. These domes make it more attractive.

In this temple, you will get to see beautiful pictures and a waterfall.

  • The Narayan temple opens at 4:30 am
  • It closes at 2:30 pm.
  • So make sure that you arrive at 10 or 11 am and enjoy the full 2-3 hours.
  • For Aarti, Friday evening is the best time.
  • There is good news here you don’t need to pay fees to enter it.
  • The temple is open every day except Monday.
Rules and regulation 
  • Respect of temple and don’t make it dirty.
  • Please wear a good dress when you come to the temple.
  • Don’t do anything that other people disturb because of you.
  • No food or drinks are allowed in the temple except chandamitra.
  • Maintain silence in the temple.
  • Turn your mobile phone off.
  • No Smoking.
  • Listening to music on loud volume is not allowed.
  • No posters or advertisement announcements are allowed without the permission of the manager.
  • Throw garbage on the dustbin.
  • Always take care of your child, don’t let them go anywhere.
