Introduction:
This is also known as the Buddha Garden. There you get a big golden statue of Buddha and it is wonderful and most attractive. In the Buddha Jayanti Park there you get to see beautiful gardens and a forest, which is so dense. This is a very big park you will get tired while walking.
Its location is Vande Matarm Marg, Central Ridge Reserve Forest New Delhi 110021. Its nearest metro station is Jhandewala. There is a Bodhi tree which is very famous. There you get to see too much greenery except it, you will get to see some small animals and birds in this park.
Architecture of Buddha Jayanti Park:
This park has 80 acres of area. In Buddha Jayanti Park Buddha’s statue is very special. In just front of it, you will see a big lake where some ducks are swimming. There is a unique bridge when you see it so you will feel like any put chair of wood. There is also a swing for children so they will enjoy there a lot. There is also a tree of Sri Lanka. There you get written instructions from Buddha on place to place. There is a free parking facility where you can park your car or bike.
History of Buddha Park:
The park was built in 2006 – 2013, to celebrate the 2,550th birthday of Buddha God. The statue of Buddha was constructed on 25 March 2013 by Dalai Lama. It is a big attraction.
- The Buddha statue is 130 feet tall.
- This park was also made to promote tourism and to relate the connection between Sikkim and Buddhism Sikkim state is a center of Buddhism.
The Buddha Jayanti Park was built by the RPN Group of Construction. It is a campus garden that contains a lawn, trees, peacocks, a lake, and flowers. This is a good park for kids as well as it attracts couples to come here.
Feature of Buddha Jayanti Park
It is one of the biggest parks in Delhi because it has an area of 80 acres. On this land, there is a big and dense forest. The famous statue of Buddha is also in between the forest. And there is a boundary of grass around Buddha’s statue.
Timing and Entry Fees:
It opens from 6 am to 6 pm. On Tuesday and Wednesday park time is 9 Am to 6 Pm. The festival time is different.
How to Reach Buddha Jayanti Park:
Metro: Take the metro of Jhandewala and from that, you can take a rickshaw to visit Buddha Park.
- There you will not get a bus or rickshaw. Very hardly any bus comes you have to go there by car and bike.
