National Gallery of Modern Art: It is the best museum for art lovers, as there are different types of artwork. Such as idols, paintings and silver trees which are made of utensils if you see them so there are used utensils instead of leaves. The silver tree is the one attraction of visitors and many people love to take photos with it. As there is not allowed Photography or videography inside of the museum. But there is not this kind of restriction in its garden just outside the museum. There is a free parking facility.

One art you can see from outside. It is the art of labour lifting a big stone it is so wonderful and big. There is small artwork in the garden and there are beautiful trees around the museum. There you can see the statue of a gorilla and its child.

The Nation gallery is in a butterfly shape. With the National Gallery of Morden Art, there is attached Jaipur House and it is also a good attraction for visitors. It has a big dome, it was built in 1936.

Bloomfield designed this house after the construction of Lutyen’s Delhi. It was established on 29 March 1954.

The National Gallery of Morden Art is the premier and it comes under the Ministry of Culture. The Indian government established it. It has more than 17,000 collections of art and 2000 artists have worked on it.

The All India Fine Arts and Craft Society highlighted the need for an art institute first. And it was shaped in 1938. It is an artistic heritage of India and it is important to represent it in front of the country. In 1949 a proposal was passed in Calcutta to establish a gallery of art.

  • It was inaugurated by Dr. S. Radhakrishan in the conservation of Jawaharlal Nehru, Abdul Kalam Azad and Humayun Kabir. The Jaipur house was chosen for the unveiling of the best Morden Indian artwork.

The National Morden Art Gallery is the most famous in the world. There you will see more foreigners. The number of Indian visitors is less than foreign visitors. There are so many artworks and beautiful paintings in an art gallery. There you will also get to see paintings of different types of people. It has a big corridor.

There are some artworks which are made by using waste materials like silver trees and a small structure. It will get you outside in the garden of the art gallery.

 

Timing and entry fees of National Gallery of Morden Art

Its timing is 11 Am to 6:30 pm Tuesday to Friday and on Sunday and Saturday, its timing is 11 Am to 8 Pm. On Monday it is closed.

It entry fee is 20 rupees per adult and children who are below 18 are free.

For Foreigner visitors entry fees are ₹500.

How To reach the National Gallery of Morden Art Gallery

Metro: Its nearest Metro station is Judiciary Square on the Red Line.

Bus: The 47ACL bus goes to National Gallery Morden Art except it 47B Deport also goes there.

Other bus route is 91LINKSTL Sunehri Pulla Deport, Jawahar lal Nehru terminal, 156 Nizamuddin Railway station and bus 173 also goes toward Nation Gallery of Morden Art.
