Introduction:

Jhandewalan temple is one of the best Hanuman temples in Delhi. It has three floors. It is located in Karol Bagh, New Delhi. Its main attraction is the big statue of Hanuman. The Jhandewalan Hanuman temple is simple from the outside but from the inside, it is very amazing. It has two gates you will enter from the other gate and exit also there is a different gate.

On the first floor, you will gate mainly pictures or idols of Hanuman but on the second floor, there are more to see, like you get to see five-headed Hanuman, idol of Radha Krishna, sai baba, shero wali mata, and Vishnu. There is also the Ganga goddess in a cave. It has a structure of a crocodile mouth.

There is one more cave except it. In the second cave, there are different types of statues of Kali Ma and other statues of gods and goddesses. The cave’s name is Pavitra Cave.

you will also get a chance to visit Vaishno Devi. She is with his holy Pindis. And from this cave, you will take an exit. The exit gate is in the structure of the lion’s mouth and it looks wonderful the temple’s view gives a feeling of serial. When you go to the temple you will feel like you have come into the world of gods and goddesses.

  1. In a prayer of evening, all temple views change. The biggest idol of Hanuman’s chest opens and we get to see a photo of Seeta and Ram.
  2. That is an amazing picture and represents love and respect for Ram and Seeta in Hanuman’s heart.
  3. The Jhandewalan Hanuman temple was built in the 18th century. It has also a sanctum, which descends from the goddess.
  4. Because there is a flag on top of the temple it was named Jhandewalan Hanuman temple.
  5. There are idols of the goddess Saraswati, Kali Ma, Ma Jandewali Hanuman, Krishna Radha, Sai Baba, Vishnu, etc.
  6. It is one of the oldest temples. The flag was hosted in the temple during the period of Shahjahan.

Timing and entry fees of Jhandewalan Hanuman Temple:

 This temple opens at 6:30 am and 10 pm it close. And on Tuesday and Saturday, it is open till night 12. There are no fees to enter it.

How To reach Jhandewalan Hanuman temple:
  • Metro: You can take the metro to Karol Bagh. Its nearest metro station is Karol Bagh Gurgaon stands 78 meters away, on a minute’s walk.
  • Bus: Take the bus to Jandewalan or Karol Bagh terminal. Then from there, you can go to the temple walking and if you want to take a rickshaw.
