Khooni Darwaza: In this place, Mughal emperor bahdur shah Zafar’s son and grandson was killed. From that time this get became famous with the name of “Khooni Darwaza” It is one of the horror places. Some people say that there comes a voice of walking and another kind of voice is felt. It is near Kotla Stadium. It has a red colour of the gate and it has also built red colour. This building has three floors including a roof. Its ceiling is very down, around 7 feet only. But architecture is amazing. There is not any special thing to see but this building is remembered for its dangerous incidents. By knowing its history you realize that no one is yours even brother also. Only power and money are everything for some people.
This Darwaza is located on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, near Delhi gate.
Feature of Khoni Darwaza
It is one of the 13 gates. It is known as a horror place. There is Maulana Azad Medical College beside it. It has a red Colour. And ahead Khooni Darwaza there is a grill type of gate of black colour. This monument is the memory of the incident of 1857. When Hadhsan soldiers arrested the son and grandson of Bahadur Shah Zafar on 28 September 1857 and after that, they were killed. Some people say that there is a flow of blood in monsoon time from the wall but it is not blood It is a damaged iron road so when it rains orange water comes.
History
As its name is Khooni Darwaza. There had been many murders. This is built by Sher–Shah–Suri in the 1540s. It has a two-blooded story. The first is about Jahangir and the second Aurangzeb.
Akbar was the father of Jahangir and in his court, there was a person Abdul Rahim Khan who used to help Akbar a lot and also gave advice so he gave Akbar advice to make king big son Khusro Akbur also agreed it Jahangir cut the head of Rahim and his brother and hanged on its wall.
And second khooni story is that Aurangzeb s big sister and father Shahjahan liked his big brother Dara Shikhu a lot. Big sister Jaha Aara had nourished her small brothers like a mother. In every field, Dara Shikhu was ahead of Auragnzeb even big sister and father wanted to make king Dara Shikhu so Auragnzeb put his brother and father in jail with the support of younger brother Muraad and killed Dara Shikhu.
When Khooni Darwaza opens
It is open from 10:00 Am to 7:00 Pm. Monday to Saturday. And there are no entry fees.
How To Reach Khoni Darwaza
You can take the metro or bus. To reach early metro is the best option because it can drop you at Khooni Darwaza in very less time. There are nearest stations are Pragati Maidan and Delhi Gate.
The second option is the bus which can also drop you at Khooni Darwaza. The ticket fees are not more.
