Introduction:
Parliament is a legislative body. It contains two houses, the Rajya Sabha (Council of State) and Lok Sabha (house of people). It does many works such as, legislation, overseeing the administration, passing the budget, Ventilation of public grievances, and Discussion on various subjects like development plans, national policies, and international relations. As new parliament is being built currently and it is bigger than earlier and has become more beautiful. This is located in J686 Rf8 Sansad Marg, central secretariat, New Delhi 110001.

Architecture Of Parliament House:
- The New Parliament House is spread over a 3015 sq. meter area. There are 888 seats. It is made on the theme of the national bird peacock.
- If we talk about the Rajya Sabha Chamber it is on an area of 3,220 square meters and there are 384 seats it is on the theme of a lotus flower. The House of People has 1,272 seats.
- There are 120 offices in the new Parliament, including the Ministry of Parliament, the Committee Room, the Lok Sabha Secretariat, the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, and the PM Office. There is a beautiful hall and it is the biggest feature of the new parliament.
There is a book of the Constitution. The new parliament is modern and there is used much technologies
Feature of New Parliament:
The new parliament is built in a modern style there are high speaker audio and video in the halls of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha. Except, there are smart furniture and displays in the House. Parliament House has also a biometric system for voting.
The translation system is very special in the new parliament house. The MP could speak in any language and other members can understand easily by this system easily. All MP’s rooms have modern facilities as well as there are good facilities for handicapped people.
- There is a library, lounge, and dining area. The new parliament house has a big parking area.
History of Parliament House:
As we all know Parliament House has a different design and it is rebuilt. The previous parliament was built in 1921 under British rule. It was inaugurated by Lord Irwin on 18 January 1927.
- On 28 August 2022, the main structure of the new parliament was completed and on 20 May 2023, the parliament house was completed fully.
- On 28 May 2023, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated it. The Parliament House was used for official business on 19 September 2023 when it had a special season.
Timing and entry fees in Parliament House:
- The Parliament house is open from 10 a.m. to 5 P.m., and it is closed on Sunday and Monday. The entry fee is 15 rupees and for children it is free.
- To enter the parliament building you must have issued a smart card. Visitors who want to see the proceeding during the budget session must give biometric impressions and photographs.
